Episode 10: Retiring Retirement

Let’s gather to talk about “retirement” and how we are viewing it now, as entrepreneurs. Are we stuck in old patterns and thinking? Do we even ever want to retire is we LOVE what we are doing? Do you know what assumptions are driving your financial decisions?

This show also had a special guest, Miguel Gomez, a Fee-Only Certified Financial Planner. Here’s a little bit more about Miguel and what he believes: I have worked directly self-made millionaires and successful business for almost 10 years. I’ve been featured in national publications and media such as Kiplinger, CBS Money Watch, Yahoo! Finance, Investors’ Business Daily and Wharton’s Business Radio on Sirius XM.

I believe that the traditional idea of retirement (working through your mid sixties so you can “enjoy life” in your final years) is outdated. I believe that life is to be enjoyed all along, and that money is a tool to help you do that and more. However, I believe that a lot of people (regardless of income level) don’t live this way because of misalignment.

Misalignment between your values and how you live.
Misalignment between what you dream about and how you use your money.
Misalignment between what’s important for you and how you actually use your resources (time, money, attention…)

My job is to help you clear that misalignment, help you enjoy your money and create strategies to that allow you to live financially confident today and in the future. Because, at the end, it’s not about how much you make or save, it’s about doing what matters most to you with it.

On the live show, we talk about:

  • Are you financially prepared for the aging reality?
  • Is it time to rethink the purpose of your money?

Episode 16: Knowing When to Say When

As we actively grow our businesses and strive to live a full life, our plates can become very full. Fulfilling work is great- it’s when that full plate produces that “tapped out” feeling regularly and you may catch yourself saying things like “I need help” or “I’m exhausted”. There comes a time when we must say “when”.

In our episode today we will cover: the biggest misconception about the experience of pursuing BIG, worthy goals; explore what does saying when look like to you and identifying when to say when; and discuss the challenges of saying when (e.g. am I betraying my vision? Why is saying when so hard even when I know it’s right?).

On the live show, we talk about:
*Being aware of indicators of signs that your body and intuition are trying to communicate with you
