Meet Janet Soriano

(Shannon & I) met when I got started in business back in 2015 or 2014, and I started really not doing website design at all. I started with selling some clothing online. That was the first thing that I did a website for and then I went on to changing my business ideas a couple of times into event planning, and life coaching, and then a lot of different things. Within those ideas that I changed, I created websites for the ideas that would, I thought, become businesses. But I fell in love with the techie part of the back end of designing. That’s how my business came to be, really. Just self-made, self-taught, watching YouTube videos, getting on my own and really just learning through the obstacles, making mistakes. And that’s how I became a web designer.

For me (joining The Confident Expert program,) was really more of the implementation. What I would say was I have a lot of previous learning experience with other online programs and other coaches that I have hired in the past. But for me it was the accountability of the group, showing up to those calls and actually participating in that, that made all the difference than just going through the information. The information is amazing, but the really precious gift that you get in the group is the time where we get to really talk about what we’re learning. We can really talk about where we’re at and actually get coaching from Amy, from Shannon, and from other people in the group. And so that gives you a lot of that pop in the back of, “Yeah, you’re doing great”, or “You need to move through in another direction.”

I remember just really binge watching all your videos on the Facebook group and really learning and trying to implement all those information. But then I was still stuck on stuff because I didn’t know the direction where I was going or I was bombarded with all this information, but then didn’t know what to do with it. And then when we got on a call, the real thing that made my jump over was understanding that I couldn’t just do it alone. I needed that support, other than what I know. That was the decision maker there. But then there was that scary part, the money, how am I going to get the money? Then at the time. I barely have time to go on these calls. I was already full with other things in my life and in my business.

And I remember only having $950 exactly, that was the price of the program back when I joined. $950, and I had that money in my savings account and I thought, this is the only savings that I got right now. And I texted Shannon, I was literally crying in my car on my way to the bank, no credit, I’m going to do it, I don’t care. I’m going to do it. This is my last $950, but I’m going to make it happen, and I’m going to figure out a way. I went to the bank, I made the payment, I got into the program, and a week in the program, I already had my first client and made that money back. Throughout the whole program, within the six months I made, I doubled the total tuition.

(If you’re unsure whether to join the program or not,) I would say do the same thing I did. I did a lot of journaling around it and a lot of self reflection on exactly what I need, because it’s not for everyone. It’s really hardcore work that you need to do and if you’re not up for it, you’re not up for it. But if you are looking to level up the way you run your business, you’re going to see the profits and see the return on investment and go all in 100% on committing to your business. Make sure that you’re not just going all in because somebody is going to save you or this program is going to be the thing – But because you needed to get the support that you’re looking for to move to the next level that you’ve been wanting to get to. It all comes down to yourself  – to where you want to be, and if it’s the right time for you to join.
